This is all started from a message, a request and a tagline scribbled by a founder who knew exactly what she wanted to say.
When founder of Simplylife Yoga approached us about the Udam Lightweight Tote, the brief was simple. Her Teacher Training programme needed a tote. She had already chosen ours. What she wanted to add was a line — her own words, to be stitched directly onto the bag:
"Yoga: A Stretch for the Soul."
Four words that said everything about what she has spent years building.
What goes into one tote
Every Udam Lightweight Tote begins with the hands of sewers from PSJKM - a community of skilled local makers that we work with.
For this run, a local embroidery business added Simplylife Yoga's tagline, stitch by stitch onto each bag.
By the time it's finished, one tote has passed through more hands than most people realize. That's exactly how we think it should be.
Where these are going
These totes won't appear on olengxco.com. They were made exclusively for Simplylife Yoga's Teacher Training programme - which means every single one will land in the hands of a future yoga teacher, at the beginning of something significant.
